The impact occurred at Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant, in the town of Sergiev Posad, TASS revealed. The plant is an engineer and producer for optical and optoelectronic gadgets for the Russian military, policing, industry and medical care.

Soon after Wednesday morning's blast, Russian state media revealed that the wellspring of the explosion was a fireworks stockroom leased by a third organization on the site of the Zagorsk Optical and Mechanical Plant.
